Breeders

Awful sci-fi/horror by-product, this offering by Tim Kincaid – he specializes in rambling Z movies – immediately establishes itself as an amateurish mess devoid of logic and ideas.

It’s truly a challenge to find anything remotely satisfactory in this kind of gobbledygook: an embarrassing screenplay with dead-end subplots, unresolved issues, and plot holes galore; lines that range from banal (‘What kind of maniac would have done this?’ ‘Somebody very, very sick!’) to incomprehensible (“If you’re alive, you can remember and we can find him!“); unspeakable performances; dreadful special effects. The monster’s appearance is rather pitiful, and his big, dipteran eyes make him look like a tar-dipped Dr. Delambre from “The Fly” (1958).

The cast is swarming with provocative damsels, although they all follow the same script: they strip, usually for no apparent reason, and endure the alien creature’s brutal attack.

Any saving graces in “Breeders”? The best thing about the film is the original movie poster artwork.
