Plot
John Kirby is a mentally disturbed veteran undergoing ineffective psychiatric treatment. One day he snaps, and brandishing an ax, begins indiscriminately massacring people. When the police intervene, their inability to arrest him forces them to manage the situation with a hail of gunfire.
Arriving at the hospital, the moribund man is secretly treated with an experimental compound capable of instantly healing any injury. With it, they manage to bring him back to life, rendering his body basically indestructible in the process. Freed from the yoke of modern medicine, the former mental patient resumes his favorite hobby: killing people.
The only man who can put an end to such an unstoppable killing machine is obviously Chuck Norris, who takes on the role of valiant Sheriff Dan Stevens for the occasion.

4.5Obviously, any police/sci-fi/horror film starring Chuck Norris is bound to degenerate into an interminable series of punches and spinning kicks. As a matter of fact, the plot of “Silent Rage” quickly demonstrates it’s simply a pretext to show the most famous Texas Ranger of all time in action – and that action includes a classic biker gang bar clash. He punches and gets punched, bludgeons and gets bludgeoned, shoots, jumps, runs, makes love… and all with the one same expression plastered on his face.
The nemesis “du jour” is a taciturn psychopath who becomes a first-class badass after the routine mad doctors “modify” him with a far-fetched treatment, leaving him practically invulnerable (his instantaneous self-healing would make Wolverine turn green with envy). In short, we’ve got a clash between superhumans, supported by crude but effective direction and softened by a faint streak of irony.
